Leave of absence

  • 1. Procedure of applying for leave of absence
  • Visit International Cooperation Center ▶ Fill out the form ▶ Submit the document to administration office of college ▶ Verify the result at University Academy
  • Academy System(학사정보시스템, http://kis.kku.ac.kr)
  • ※ International students can't apply for leave of absence unless they have peronal health problem.
  • ※ International students can't apply for leave of absence via University Academy System(학사정보시스템).
  • ※ Appliance of leave of absence should be done only the student, not by a friend or a classmate.
  • ※ If a student can't visit International Cooperation Center, the student can send an email after filling out the form.

  • 2. Period of leave of absence: 1 year at a time(Students can return 1 semester earlier)

    - Students can extend leave of absence every 1 year.
    - If a stduent doesn't return to university or extend leave of absence, he/she will be withdrawn from university.

  • 3. Leaving Republic of Korea after leave of absence is confirmed
    : Students should leave Korea within 15 days from the date when leave of absence is confirmed.

Return to university

  • 1. Procedure of returning after leave of absence
  • Read a notice by International Cooperation Center ▶ Tell International Cooperation Center about student's plan for return and fill out a form online ▶ Check the period for applyng for return ▶ Apply for return via University Academy System(http://kis.kku.ac.kr).
  • ※ For issuing Visa, students must tell International Cooperation Center of plan for return to university.
  • ※ Applying for return should be done via University Academy System(학사정보시스템, http://kis.kku.ac.kr) by the student.
  • ※ Cancellation of appliance of return leads to deletion of lectures for the semester, so returning after period of lecture application is impossible.

  • 2. Period of applying for return

    - During vacation season, students can read information on periods of applying for return, payment of tuition and lecture application.
    - Usually students are able to apply for return from mid January / July to deadline of lecture application of each semester.
